straight stitching

I love the effect of the straight stitching pattern emerging on the soft white backing of the 80's quilt. Truly satisfying. I don't' have a lot of time to work on it, so my motto is "little by little."

But I notice, if I work on a project a little everyday (or everyother day), it eventually gets finished.

Quilting must do something soothing to my brain waves because, each day, I look forward to the few moments I spend sewing, usually in the evenings. I really look forward to this time. It feels progressive and exciting and I imagine that's the feeling one gets when one is doing exactly what one is supposed to.
